Public and private ip addresses

Private IP addresses and public IP addresses identify devices on a network, but they are used in different scopes.
Private IP addresses are used inside private networks. Common private ranges are 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, and 192.168.0.0/16. These addresses are not directly reachable from the public internet.
Public IP addresses are reachable from the internet and are usually assigned by an ISP or cloud provider.
In S4E Cloud, public assets can be scanned from the internet. Internal or private IP scanning requires a deployment or scanner that can reach that private network.
