The “Advanced Security” toggle enables continuous security scanning for your asset. When enabled, S4E automatically scans the asset based on the configured schedule and scan categories.

The toggle is available on the Asset Manager page. The asset must be verified, and a valid plan or license is required.

When Advanced Security is disabled, continuous scans stop for that asset, while manual scans can still be started separately. All existing scan results and findings are kept, and any scan already in progress completes and saves its results.

Once re-enabled, the asset automatically returns to continuous scanning on its regular schedule. If you select “Enable first scan” at this step, checks start right away and any services added in the meantime are scanned immediately.

After changing this setting, you may need to wait before changing it again.
