The S4E Partner Program defines distinct roles for partner organizations and their customers. Each role carries specific permissions and responsibilities within the multi-tenant Partner Portal.


Role Hierarchy

Partner Admin

The Partner Admin is the primary point of contact between the partner organization and S4E. Each partner organization must designate at least one Partner Admin.

Permissions

  • Create, modify, and deactivate customer tenants.
  • Access all customer dashboards and reports.
  • Configure and execute scans within any customer tenant.
  • Review findings, triage vulnerabilities, and update statuses.
  • Configure white-label branding settings.
  • Manage license allocations across customer tenants.
  • View and export billing and usage data.
  • Access the Partner API and manage API keys.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the escalation point for customer issues.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and license assignments.
  • Enforce data handling policies in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Communicate platform updates and maintenance windows to customers.

Multiple admins

A partner organization can have more than one Partner Admin. All Partner Admins share the same permission level. Use this to ensure continuity when personnel change.


Customer-Side Roles

When a partner creates a customer tenant, the customer organization can optionally have its own users:

Customer Admin

  • Full control within their own tenant.
  • Can invite Customer Users.
  • Can view scans, reports, and findings.
  • Cannot access other tenants or partner-level settings.

Customer User

  • Read-only or limited access within their tenant, depending on permissions set by the Customer Admin.
  • Can view dashboards and reports.
  • Cannot modify scan configurations or system settings.

Customer visibility

By default, customer-side users can see all activity within their tenant, including actions performed by partner admins. If your service model requires partner actions to be invisible to the customer, contact S4E support to enable stealth mode for specific tenants.
